Brandi Gibson, Farmher
This farm girl turned city girl returned to her roots when her granddaughter was born, 8 years ago. Learning the differences in conventional vs. organic farming and it’s effect on the development of small children propelled a move back to the land and growing the family’s food. Three farms and a book full of lessons later, she & her high school sweetheart landed on a sweet piece of land on the North end of Whidbey Island, WA, where forest raised pigs, free range chickens and visiting grand kids live their best lives.
Bryce Gibson, Hired Man
Happy Wife = Happy Life. This mantra holds true at this farm and luckily for this lad, he has a soft spot for animals and is happy to make the farm girl’s dreams come true. When not traveling for his off farm job, or at the golf course, he can be found in with the pigs, mending fence, planting cover crop, cutting wood or a variety of other jobs on the farm. His favorite farm thing to do is give the grand kids (& neighbor kids) rides in the mule or on the tractor.
Tobias James, Security
Don’t let this young man’s good looks fool you. He’s a force to be reckoned with…if you’re an eagle, hawk or coyote! Toby was born in a barn with pigs and goats before coming to our farm at 10 weeks, back in 2016. He has protected our ladies with great success and now has a team of roosters to help cover the day shift. During the day, he can be found sleeping in a cool spot overlooking the farm or in front of the fire. Once the sun is gone, he is on duty and watch out predators!
Francis Bean, Security Trainee & Bed Hog
Frankie is now a seasoned member of the team and has proven to be a valuable teammate. She has a great eye for aerial predators and has learn directly from Toby, who is a natural on farm security. She has picked up where her predecessor, Lillee, left off taking the knowledge of her proven techniques for keeping the birds of prey away. When not in protecting the farm, Frankie can be found in the big bed taking up all the space, possibly with a bone in her teeth, waiting for belly rubs.
